The fine print, minus the fine print

Blossoms is a free sharing community for kids' clothes. Here's how it works, what we do with your data, and what we ask of each other — in plain language.

What Blossoms is

Blossoms is a platform where families give away kids' clothing their children have outgrown and claim clothing from other families — for free. Items are claimed with Blossoms (🌸), points you earn by participating. Blossoms have no cash value, can't be bought, sold or transferred, and we may adjust how they're earned as the community grows.

We're the venue, not a party to any hand-off. Givers own their items until they hand them over; what's exchanged is between the families involved.

Money (there mostly isn't any)

Giving and claiming clothes on Blossoms is free, and no money changes hands for items — ever. The one exception: if you and a giver choose shipping instead of a local meet-up, the claimer pays a shipping fee that covers the postage label. That fee is for delivery, not for the clothes.

Blossoms is not a marketplace for commercial resale. Don't list items to sell them elsewhere, and don't claim items in bulk to resell them.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to use Blossoms. Keep your login to yourself, tell us if something looks off, and use your real first name — this community runs on knowing who you're meeting.

You can delete your account anytime from your account settings. We can suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or the community guidelines, and remove any listing at our discretion.

Meet-ups and safety

Hand-offs happen between families in public places. Always meet in a public spot, in daylight, and bring a friend if it makes you comfortable. You're responsible for your own meet-ups — inspect items when you receive them.

The unavoidable legal bits

Blossoms is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for the condition of items, the conduct of members, or anything arising from meet-ups or shipments. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. We'll post changes to these terms here and update the date above.
